FAQs for Translations:

1) How long does it take for documents to be translated?

1) How long does it take for documents to be translated?
It depends on the number of documents to be translated and on whether there are also other documents due to be delivered before yours. If you need the translations urgently (e.g. in less than 2 days) there will be an extra charge.

2) What are the charges for vocal and written translations accordingly?
There are different charges according to request for double copies, or availability of translation on a disc or a CD, as well as for the urgency for documents to be translated. For the relevant charges click here.

3) Are the charges reduced if the translated documents are handwritten?

No, they are not. In fact the documents are always typewritten and never handwritten.

4) How are the translations presented?
The documents are translated in British English or Greek according to request; they are typed usually at fonts 12 and follow the exact layout as the original documents in Greek or English accordingly. According to request, the translated documents can also be officially certified by one of our representatives at the main Translating Offices in Nicosia, so you can be spared the effort to drive all the way there for this purpose.

5) Can the documents for translation be sent to you?
The documents for translation can be sent at our Institute in the following ways:
- by post (Address: 8 Psaron Str. Paphos-Cyprus, P.O. Box: 8021)
- by e-mail (E-mail Address: cp2007@cytanet.com.cy,cynthia_petridou@hotmail.com) or
- by fax (Fax no.: 00357 26 950 808).
Please note that in such cases, the Institute needs to have all your contact details for obvious reasons.

6) Is the payment done before or after the papers are translated?
The payment is usually made after the documents are translated, but always before they are sent or given to the person.

7) How can the translations be provided to us?
The translated documents can be provided to you in the following ways:
- in person at our office (Address: 8A Vasileos Constandinou Str. Paphos-Cyprus)
- by post (Address: 8 Psaron Str. Paphos-Cyprus, P.O. Box: 8021)
- by e-mail (E-mail Address: cp2007@cytanet.com.cy,cynthia_petridou@hotmail.com) or
- by fax (Fax no.: 00357 26 950 808).
Please note that you are not to receive the translations before they are paid for, and the Institute needs to have all your contact details for obvious reasons. In case the person who sends the documents is abroad at that moment, there needs to be a person to contact in Cyprus.

8) What kind of documents do/can you translate?
All type of documents are translated; from law and medicine, to literature documents.

9) What is your experience in Translating/Interpreting?
Our experience involves constant vocal translations at the County Court of Paphos and frequent written translations of all kinds of diplomas, business contracts, as well as architecture, medicine, law and literature documents.

10) When are you available for vocal translations? (Days and times)

There is availability for vocal translations in the mornings, from Monday to Friday, from 08:00a.m. to 13:30a.m., as well as for mornings and afternoons on Sundays. Please note that the relevant charges for vocal translation services on Sundays are double the usual ones.

11) How many days before do we need to reserve you for a vocal translation?
We require at least 2-days-notice for a vocal translation reservation to be made.

12) How are you paid?                                                                                                          
We accept payments in Cash or Cheques.
